YouthInBC - Chat Line
Provides a web-based hotline for BC youth in distress. The service is provided through a live chat function and email. The website also provides resources and information on youth mental health issues, as well as links to the crisis intervention telephone line.
Crisis Centre Chat
Provides online, one-on-one chat, for adults in emotional distress who need safe, confidential and non-judgemental support and information.
Trained volunteers can also provide topic-specific information and resources to caregivers and professionals looking to learn more about various mental health related issues.
Eating Disorders Counselling
Provides affordable one-on-one counselling to individuals who are affected by eating disorders to process challenges and focus on recovery. Counselling is provided by a university practicum student that works under the supervision of a registered clinical counsellor. Sessions are available in-person or virtually.

Addiction Recovery Support Meetings
Provides an online listing of addiction recovery support groups to help people recover from all types of addiction and addictive behaviours including drug abuse, gambling addiction, prescription drugs, sexual addiction, and alcohol abuse. Groups are available in communities throughout BC or online.
Help with Drinking

Holding Hope Peer Support Groups
Offers group peer support for individuals and families with loved ones who use or have used substances. Participants share their experiences, ways to cope, or just gather strength and comfort from being with others who understand. See website for an online listing of support groups in BC.
Raising Resilient Kids Parenting Program
Offers a group-based program to help parents and caregivers to develop mindful parenting skills and strengthen caregiver-child relationships during early childhood. Topics include child development, mindfulness, attachment, and reflective parenting. The group is facilitated by trained physicians.
Air Travel Assistance
Provides free airline flights to low-income residents who must travel for non-emergency medical care that is not available in their community.
After Stroke Program
Provides a personalized recovery program to support stroke survivors, their families and friends, to navigate the path forward after a stroke.
Services are provided throughout BC and include community navigation support with a stroke coordinator, drop-in virtual programs, community-based meetings, and peer group for people with aphasia.
VictimLink BC
Provides a toll-free, confidential, multilingual telephone service available across BC and Yukon. Offers information and referral services to all victims of crime and immediate crisis support to victims of family and sexual violence, including victims of human trafficking exploited for labour or sexual services.
Services include connecting with community, social, health, justice and government resources, such as community-based victim services, transition houses, counselling resources, and information about the justice system.
