Travel Assistance Program
Provides assistance with some of the transportation costs for eligible BC residents who must travel within the province for non-emergency, physician-referred specialist medical care not available in their own community.
The program is coordinated by the Ministry of Health and the transportation partners who agree to waive or discount their regular fees. The program does not provide direct financial assistance to patients for travel costs.
BC Ambulance Service
Provides public ambulance service for emergencies, medical transportation, and out-of-hospital and inter-facility patient transfers, throughout BC. Transportation is also available for pediatric, neonatal and high-risk obstetrics patients.
Toward The Heart
Provides online information and resources about harm reduction and overdose prevention. Topic areas include safer sex and drug use, naloxone administration and training, peer worker training and peer engagement resources, health alerts and drug information, overdose prevention or supervised consumption site locations, and information on where to get safer sex and substance use supplies, and naloxone kits.
Indigenous Youth Wellness
Provides Indigenous youth wellness promotion and suicide prevention through online activities and training and in community based youth groups.
The Cuystwi program offers online wellness quests with themes on identity, culture, understanding colonization, tools to deal with racism, healthy relationships, and sexual health.
Also offers Ask Auntie - a girl-specific program with themes on identity, culture and connection, relationships and safety, wellness, body knowledge and body transitions, and healing.
Erase
Provides students, families, and educators with information and resources on online safety, bullying, sexual orientation and gender identify (SOGI), gender-based violence, mental health and well-being, substance use, school safety, and racism.
Its focus is about building safe and caring school communities. This includes empowering students, families, educators and the community partners who support them to get help with challenges, report concerns to schools, and learn about complex issues facing students.
Survivors of Incest Support Groups
Provides an online listing of support groups available in BC for men and women in need of support with recovery from childhood sexual abuse. Meetings are available online and in-person.
Provincial Substance Use Treatment Program
Provides specialized addiction treatment in a supported home-like setting for adults in BC who need help with severe substance use. The program is approximately three months long and includes after-care support for up to a year following treatment.
The program includes assessment and stabilization, counselling, supportive treatment, medication therapy, peer support, life skills development, family programs, and education about mental illness and substance use.

Drug Programs
Oversees and regulates quality assurance programs to ensure that physicians in the province are practising to professional standards. The Drug Program includes the Prescription Review Program, Methadone for Analgesia, and the Controlled Prescription Program. Hospice Palliative Care Information
Provides information on hospice palliative care for professionals, volunteers and the public. Provides educational resources for the establishment and maintenance of organizations devoted to providing end-of-life care and has a network of communication and shared resources for all those concerned with the care of the dying and bereaved in BC.
Gamblers Anonymous Support Meetings
Provides group support meetings for individuals to share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from a gambling problem. Meetings are made up completely of recovering members and have no professionals or counsellors. Provides a self-help program where members grow and recover at their own pace.
