Cross-Cultural Mental Health Resources
Assists individuals who do not speak or understand English with finding mental health and substance use services that they or a loved one needs. Services include online information and resources, non-urgent interpreter services, and videos on how to get medical help in the Fraser Health area.
Richmond Mental Health Emergency Services
Provides emergency response to crisis calls related to mental health situations or crisis concerns in partnership with the Richmond RCMP and Vancouver Coastal Health.
A RCMP member and a clinical nurse specializing in mental health, work together to help de-escalate situations, provide crisis intervention and connect people to community services and supports.
For life-threatening mental health or substance use crises, call 9-1-1.
Mental Health Intake Line - Richmond
Provides a single point of entry for mental health and substance use health care and support services for the Richmond area of Vancouver Coastal Health. Services may be provided in hospitals, the community or in your own home.
Overdose Prevention and Response - Fraser Health
Provides an online listing of Take Home Naloxone sites for the Fraser Health Authority area, as well as information on overdose prevention, signs of overdose, and online resources and videos.
Access Central - Fraser Health
Provides same-day clinical assessment by an addiction doctor or nurse over the phone and connects people to substance use services in their geographic location. Options include virtual, bed-based, at home, or in the community services.
Staff can also help clients access Opioid Agonist Therapy and anti-craving medications for alcohol.
Red Fish Healing Centre for Mental Health and Addiction
Provides specialized inpatient treatment and recovery services for adults in BC with concurrent disorder; a combination of a severe mental illness and substance use disorder. The centre also includes research, education, virtual health, and teaching spaces.
Clients receive trauma-informed, culturally safe care that focuses on mental and physical wellness as well as support with their recovery and healing journey so they can gradually transition to care in their home community.

Heartwood Centre For Women
Offers a residential treatment program for women and transgendered women with substance dependence, mental health concerns, and primary health-care needs. Treatment may include counselling, skill development, wellness, nutrition groups, chronic pain management, and group programs to address trauma, substance dependency, mental and physical health issues.

Overdose Prevention and Response - Island Health
Provides an online listing of overdose prevention service sites for the Island Health area, as well as overdose information and resources.
Youth Home Stabilization Program
Provides support to youth and their caregivers with managed substance use withdrawal and follow-up in a home environment. The program works with young people who are using substances and want to stop or significantly reduce the use of at least one substance.
Services include support through withdrawal, short-term family counselling and or mediation, home visits, cultural and spiritual supports, long-term treatment referrals, and harm reduction supplies. Access to opiate agonist therapy and primary care services are also available.
