Offers therapeutic counselling and life-skills support services to youth who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and substance use issues resulting from childhood trauma and abuse. Family counselling is also available.

Cowichan Family Caregivers Support Society

Provides support and education to young caregivers who providing significant care to a family member. The need for care may include supporting a family member with physical or mental illness, disability, addiction or other difficulties such as financial issues or divorce.

Services include individual support and counselling, workshops, family counselling, First Nations family support, advocacy, and referrals to other service providers.

Borderline Personality Disorder Society of BC

Offers drop-in peer support for individuals with borderline personality disorder (BPD), their family, friends, and partners. Participants are welcome to suggest a topic, join in, or just sit quietly and listen. A lending library of handouts, resources and books is also provided.

Moms Stop the Harm Society

Offers group peer support for individuals and families with loved ones who use or have used substances. Participants share their experiences, ways to cope, or just gather strength and comfort from being with others who understand. See website for an online listing of support groups in BC.

Mobile Outreach Program

Kílala Lelum

Provides outreach primary care health services to individuals in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. The mobile van offers a combination of targeted outreach for individual members, cultural wellness outreach services, and scheduled drop-in clinics.

Services include harm reduction and emergency supplies, one-on-one support, and cultural care and medicine such as smudging, cedar brushing and ceremonial song. Provided in partnership with TELUS Health.

Air Travel Assistance

Angel Flight East Kootenay Association

Provides free air transportation for residents of East Kootenay who must travel for medical care that is not available in their community.

Comox Bay Care Society

Offers mobile outreach to help people experiencing homelessness or are at-risk of homelessness in Comox Valley. Mobile vehicle travels in various areas and provide food, clothing, hygiene items, and sleeping bags.

Services include health assessments and monitoring, wound care, mental health and substance use supports, harm reduction supplies, advocacy, and referrals to other community services.

EASE (Everyday Anxiety Strategies for Educators) at Home offers helpful tips for parents, like how to teach children calming breathing techniques.

Trans Lifeline Hotline

Trans Lifeline’s Hotline is a free peer support phone service run by trans people for trans and questioning peers. Call if you need someone trans to talk to, even if you’re not in a crisis or if you’re not sure you’re trans.
