Counselling and Support
Provides counselling and a variety of programs and services to support individuals with Down syndrome, their parents and families. Support includes individual counselling, information and resources, parent support meetings, child play therapy, kids and youth groups, skill development, and health workshops.

Eating Disorders Helpline
Offers telephone support to individuals wanting information about eating disorders, food and weight preoccupation, and or disordered eating. Trained support workers provide support, information, and referrals to professionals across Canada.
Peer Support
Offers one-on-one and group peer support for individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS) from someone who understands and has lived experience with MS. The program is provided by phone, virtual or online.
Participants share their experiences, ways to cope, or just gather strength and comfort from being with others who understand.
MS Knowledge Network
Provides multiple sclerosis (MS) information and support for anyone in BC by phone, email or chat. Online MS information is also available.
Topic areas include symptom management, treatment, living with MS, employment support, financial planning, MS research, and community programs and services.
CancerConnection Program
Provides a peer support program for people with cancer and their caregivers. Trained volunteers, who have experienced cancer, provide support by phone offering hope, encouragement, and coping ideas.
Program also offers an online community where members can share their experiences and build supportive relationships through discussions, groups, and blogs.
Smokers' Helpline
Offers free, confidential support and information online and by phone about quitting smoking and tobacco use. Telephone support helps with creating a personalized quit plan, coping with cravings and withdrawal symptoms, and finding available supports and resources in your area.
Online resources include personalized quit planning, community forums, personal quit calculator, self-help materials, and web links to additional supports.
Kids and Teens in Control
Offers online group support and education to children and youth who have a loved one with mental illness or substance use disorder. Participants share their experiences, ways to cope, self-care techniques, and learn about mental illness and skills to communicate with loved one.
Mental Health Information and Resources
Provides an online listing of information and resources. Topic areas include early psychosis intervention, schizophrenia, guides for family members, crisis planning, Ulysses Agreement information, aboriginal resources, teacher's manual, and self-management.
Also provides information about available presentations such as the Partnership Education Presentation, ReachOut Psychosis Tour for secondary schools, and Puppet Education Program for school children.
Strengthening Families Together
Provides a 10-session education program for family and friends of individuals with serious and persistent mental illnesses. Topic areas include medication and treatment, mental illness information, skill-building, concurrent disorders and addiction, schizophrenia, mood and anxiety disorders, coping as a family, and advocacy.
Family Support Groups
Provides an online listing of monthly support group meetings for family members, caregivers, or friends of individuals with psychosis, schizophrenia, or any serious mental illness. Participants come together to support each other, and share experiences, information and coping skills.
