Provides resources and peer support to people of all ages with eating disorders or disordered eating concerns in BC. Support is available by phone, email or in person at the centre.

Online information is also available and includes topics such as treatment options, types of disorders, group support, recovery and relapse prevention, nutritional counselling, and where to find help.

Child Protection Services

Ministry of Children and Family Development

Provides child protection services for children and youth in BC. Social workers investigate reports of child abuse or neglect, provide or arrange support services for families, supervise a child's care in the home, and protect children through removal from the family and placement with relatives, a foster family or specialized residential resources.

To report a concern about a child being abused or neglected, call the toll free number or Helpline for Children, both available 24-hour, 7 days a week.

Provides assessment, treatment and consultation for children and youth with complex mental health and substance use concerns who live in BC and the Yukon. The programs are offered at specialized outpatient clinics based on the treatment that is recommended.

Consultation is offered for a wide variety of mental health concerns including mood disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), neurodevelopmental conditions, concurrent disorders, self-injury behaviour, gender dysphoria, and early childhood mental health problems.

Provides a free, real-time text messaging service for anyone to receive toxic drug alerts or share information about toxic drugs in their community. This service is anonymous. People can get other information by text message, like where to find naloxone or how to get drugs tested.

Provided in partnership with the BC Health Authorities and community partners. Text the word JOIN to 253787 to get drug alerts in your region.

Community Transition Teams

BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services

Provides care coordination and transitional support to individuals with substance use disorder and complex mental health needs who are leaving the 10 provincial correctional facilities in BC.

Service includes short-term access to primary care, psychiatric treatment, relapse management, counselling, opioid agonist therapy, and information and referral to mental health and substance use services in the community for up to 90 days.
