Overdose Response Service

National Overdose Response Service

Provides confidential overdose peer support to substance users who are about to use drugs alone. A caller is connected to a virtual overdose supervisor who will monitor them while they use drugs. If there is a concern of overdose during the call, the supervisor will connect with local 9-1-1 dispatch services.

The 24-hour hotline can be accessed from anywhere within Canada. Staff and volunteers are trauma informed and are able to provide harm reduction and substance use information, resources and referrals if requested during the call.

Red Road Recovery

Offers a residential treatment program to help individuals recover from substance use, including drug and alcohol addiction. Program includes individual counselling, group therapy, Twelve Step program, and cultural programming. A holistic approach is used to address the mind, body and spirit through partnering with Indigenous communities to share knowledge of the local culture and land.

Provides access to free counselling for individuals in Canada by counselling interns, supervised by counselling supervisors. Counselling interns are counselling students who are near the end of their professional training to become fully registered counsellors.
