Mental Health Intake Line - Central and Sunshine Coast
Provides a single point of entry for mental health and substance use health care and support services for the Sunshine Coast and Powell River areas of Vancouver Coastal Health. Services may be provided in hospitals, the community or in your own home.
SACY - Youth Substance Use Prevention Initiative
Provides substance use prevention and early intervention programs for school-aged youth and families to prevent substance use, delay substance use and reduce substance use related problems.
The program works to strengthen youth's connection to school, family and community, encourage open honest discussion on issues related to drugs and alcohol, promote positive youth development, and to support parents and teachers in maintaining strong relationships with youth.
Overdose Prevention and Response - Vancouver Coastal Health
Provides an online listing of Take Home Naloxone sites for the Vancouver Coastal area, as well as information on overdose prevention, signs of overdose, and drug information.

Provides emergency response to crisis calls in Surrey, Tsawwassen, and Semiahmoo First Nations for mental health situations or crisis concerns.
A police officer and health care professional work together to provide on-site emotional and mental health assessments, crisis intervention and connect people to community services and supports.

1st Step Mobile Treatment
Offers an intensive combination of one week and four week treatment programs for adolescent males and females experiencing difficulties surrounding their substance use.
Program is provided in mobile community settings, and is facilitated by a counsellor in a group setting offering lectures, videos, and group therapy. Individual treatment goals are developed with each client addressing their unique challenges.
Crisis Response
Provides 24-hour telephone help for youth and individuals with developmental disabilities in crisis. A trained staff member or volunteer is available to listen, provide information and support, in an anonymous and confidential manner.
Mobile Health Outreach
Provides outreach harm reduction services to the Cowichan Lake, Duncan, Ladysmith, Nanaimo and Parksville areas. Services include harm reduction supplies, HIV testing, safer sex and drug use supplies, referral, overdose prevention, and health information.
Dual Diagnosis Support Groups
Provides an online listing of support groups for men and women who need support with their dual diagnosis; an emotional or psychiatric illness and chemical dependency. Twelve Steps of recovery and Twelve Traditions are used for knowledge and wisdom. See website for available groups in your area.
Indigenous Health
Supports the Northern Health Authority in its commitment to build a health system that honours diversity and provides culturally safe services.
Online resources include publications, webinars, and local cultural resources, as well as an interactive map to find locations and contact information for Indigenous communities and health centres, friendship centres, Métis associations and Aboriginal liaisons in Northern BC.
Lighthouse Virtual Substance Use Care
Offers medical treatment and short-term stabilization for people who use substances. The program is a free, telephone-based clinic provided by a team of health professionals including addiction medicine doctors, nurses and social workers. Clients who need in-person assessment will be referred to an appropriate healthcare provider for care.
