National Overdose Response Service (NORS)

The National Overdose Response Service is a virtual supervised consumption site. NORS anonymously connects you with a trained, non-judgmental peer who will stay with you virtually while you use drugs. If you become unresponsive, they’ll call emergency services for you. You can contact NORS by call, text or online chat, 24/7, 365 days a year, anywhere in Canada.

NORS also provides connection, support, and referrals to other services. It can also contact a trusted person identified by the caller, alongside emergency services where needed.

First Nations Support

Mourning's Dawn Counselling

Provides outreach services to Terrace First Nation communities including individual counselling, group therapy and community wellness projects. Service is funded for Terrace First Nations members through the First Nations Health Authority or extended health benefits.

PHSA Mental Health and Substance Use Services

Provides treatment for people with the most complex mental health and substance use needs in BC who have been referred by the regional health authorities.

Provides low-cost transportation options for Central and North Okanagan residents who must travel for non-emergency, physician-referred medical care outside their home communities. Services are available to any community along the route; bookings must be made two business days ahead of the trip.
