Provides a variety of services to eligible individuals, families, and organizations both within Indigenous communities and within urban and rural centres. Addiction Recovery Program

Together We Can Drug & Alcohol Recovery & Education Society

Provides a residential, abstinence-based treatment program for men who struggle with the challenges of substance misuse, and desire a new life in recovery. Education centre and recovery homes are located in Vancouver.

Program includes treatment assessments, discussion groups, individual and group counselling, Aboriginal traditional approaches to healing, life skills training, and aftercare planning.

Provides a 90-day residential addiction treatment program for any male that has a desire to use Indigenous healing in their recovery from substance use. The program blends western-based treatment and Indigenous healing practices for all types of addiction including alcohol, opiate, marijuana, and stimulant addiction.

Program includes individual and group therapy sessions, 12-step model of recovery, wellness programs, cultural programming, and aftercare planning. Program operates in two houses located in Surrey, BC.

Offers peer support, community events and activities in communities across BC to help Indigenous men with their spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional health. Participants come together in a safe environment to build solidarity and brotherhood, share a meal, connect and support each other.

Activities include community gatherings, annual retreats, think tanks, outings, and wellness fairs. Participants also have access to an Elder, a health practitioner, and community support services information.

Mood Disorders Association of British Columbia

Offers a variety of medical treatment options to help individuals coping with depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health difficulties. Treatment options include psychodynamic group therapy, dialectical behavior treatment skills group, and narrative therapy. During group sessions, participants meet with others who may be going through similar challenges in their mental health journey and recovery. Group sessions are provided online.

Mood Disorders Association of British Columbia

Offers group therapeutic wellness programs to help people living with a mood disorder, manage and work through difficult emotions such as anxiety, low mood, stress, and depression. Groups include physical activity and exercise, mindful movement for mood, and yoga therapy. Programs are provided online.

Interpersonal Therapy

Mood Disorders Association of British Columbia

Offers individual and group therapy for people with depression and who have, or are, experiencing struggles with a very personal relationship that leads to feelings of frustration, loneliness and despair. Participants will have two individual sessions and then meet with others for online group sessions. A group is also available for new mothers experiencing perinatal depression to help them with relationship issues and challenges in motherhood.

Phoenix Drug & Alcohol Recovery and Education Society

Provides residential addiction treatment in a supported home-like setting to adults and youth in BC who need help with severe substance use. Treatment includes assessment and stabilization, medication therapy, peer support, life-skills development, and harm reduction education. The program is approximately three months long and includes after-care support for up to a year following treatment.

Provides confidential, culturally-sensitive telephone support, information and referral to the Korean community and Chinese community in both Cantonese and Mandarin.
