Offers in-hospital and community support to help Indigenous people and their families with accessing culturally appropriate mental health services. Patient navigators work directly with mental health workers to help patients understand and navigate the health care system, as well as provide assessment, counselling, and referrals to community services.

Outpatient Withdrawal Management Services

Interior Health Authority

Provides a range of medical and support services to help individuals to withdraw from and stabilize alcohol and or substance use. A team of nurses, physicians and community partners can support withdrawal and substance stabilization services at home and in the community on an outpatient basis.

Provides a child and youth mental health consultant to work with youth, families and communities in providing a health assessment, create a treatment plan, and to increase protective factors, reduce risk factors, and build capacity to support the mental health of children and youth using cultural and holistic approaches. Also provides referrals to other mental health services within the community.

Hoarding Services

Island Health

Offers support services to help people struggling with clutter and hoarding disorder in the Greater Victoria area. The team works together with the individual and appropriate professionals, such as fire prevention officers, to address immediate health and safety concerns. Access to group support is also available.

Mobile Overdose Prevention Service

Northern Health

Offers mobile street outreach and harm reduction supplies to individuals in Dawson Creek. A mobile vehicle travels to different areas of the city and provides basic nursing services and supports, supervised injection and safer drug injection supplies, naloxone and naloxone training, needle exchange, safer sex supplies, harm reduction education, and referrals to other substance use services.

Prince George AIDS Prevention Program

Northern Health

Provides street outreach and harm reduction supplies to members of the community in need. Program offers needle exchange, injection drug and crack cocaine use equipment, condoms and safer-sex items, access to testing and treatment, education, and referrals to other health agencies for drug detox, treatment or counselling.
