Outreach Services
Provides free and confidential outreach visits to newcomer, migrant and immigrant women who are engaged in indoor sex work in the Lower Mainland area to distribute safer-sex supplies and information resources. Also connects women to healthcare providers and offers information about immigration, housing, law, employment, safety and health.
Homicide Grief Support Groups
Offers group support in a safe, non-judgmental environment to families and friends of individuals who have survived the loss of a loved one by homicide. Groups meet once a week for eight weeks.
Participants come together to support each other, listen to others who have experienced a similar loss, and as well learn grief and mourning tools to help in their daily lives.
Surrey Street Youth Services
Provides a telephone referral service for youth who are without a safe place to go and at considerable risk on the streets. Youth-specific information and referrals include counselling, health and education options, youth shelters, mental health and substance use services, and income assistance programs.
Powell Place Emergency Shelter for Women
Provides short-term emergency shelter to women in crisis living with the challenges of violence, abuse, poverty, mental illness and addiction.
Services include crisis intervention, 24-hour on-site staff support, meals, laundry services, housing assistance, harm reduction supplies, individual counselling, accompaniment to appointments, referrals and advocacy.
Women's Safety and Outreach Program
Provides mobile crisis support to girl and women survivors of assault and or sexual abuse in the Vancouver Downtown Eastside. Support includes crisis intervention, counselling, safety planning, information and referrals, hospital accompaniments, assistance with shelter and housing, harm reduction supplies, and advocacy.
Y Mind Teen
Offers a free support group for young adults who experience anxiety. Participants learn healthy coping skills, connect with other young people in the community, and get support all in a safe and friendly environment. Programming is supervised by trained mental health professionals.
The program includes take-home resources to help manage anxiety in between weekly meetings, and a 14 week YMCA gym membership to encourage youth to manage their anxiety through physical activity.

Peer Support Program
Offers peer-to-peer support to adults recovering from an on-going mental illness and in the initial stages of recovery. Services are provided in the community and at Richmond General Hospital.
Peer support workers have personal experience with mental illness and are able to offer support and encouragement, and help with reaching personal goals, more independence and confidence.
EASE at Home
EASE (Everyday Anxiety Strategies for Educators) at Home offers helpful tips for parents, like how to teach children calming breathing techniques.
Battered Women's Crisis Line
Provides telephone-based crisis support and victim services to women dealing with violence and or the effects of abuse, childhood sexual abuse, and adult sexual assault.
Callers receive emotional support, coping strategies, safety planning, community resource information, and referrals to transition houses, medical services, and lawyers. Specialized support for immigrant and aboriginal women is also available.
