Peer Assisted Care Team
Lower Mainland Purpose Society for Youth and Families
Provides emergency response to crisis calls related to mental health and or substance use situations or crisis concerns. The program pairs a mental health professional and a peer worker to provide trauma-informed, culturally safe support to youth and adults in the city of New Westminster.
Teams respond alongside or instead of police to help de-escalate situations and connect people to ongoing community services and supports.
