180 Degrees Detox and Stabilization
The John Howard Society of North Island
Provides inpatient detox services in a comfortable home-like setting for youth to withdraw from harmful substances. Program counsellors work with youth to set their own goals of what they want to work on while in the program such as education, harm reduction, and relapse prevention.
After detox, youth may then access a stabilization bed in a family care home to begin rebuilding their lives. Average length of stay in detox is four to seven days, and the stabilization period may last up to six months.
