Low cost to no-cost community counselling services for people living in the Capital Regional District of Greater Victoria.
Description
Find counselling, education and programming for adults, youth, seniors and families in the Capital Regional District. Programs include:
- Counselling and Referrals for Adults: provides assessment, counselling and referrals for adults who use substances in a problematic way and for those affected by others’ alcohol or drug use. It is a community based, free, open access counselling service.
- YouthTalk : free counselling for youth through email or face-to-face sessions. Youth receive e-counselling services from a professional counsellor. Emails are responded to within 3-5 business days.
- Stopping the Violence: free counselling for women or trans-persons dealing with abuse. Counselling can be one-on-one or group counselling for those who have experienced abuse or violence in their intimate adult relationships, or who have experienced childhood sexual abuse.
- Worklink: free counselling and support to develop the skills needed to achieve success in the workplace. Contact Worklink 250-478-9525 to be referred to the program.
- Support for Seniors: volunteer run services that offer friendly visits, transportation, and light house keeping to seniors for free or by donation.
