Help line operators provide confidential peer support to trans and questioning callers. The hotline is open 24/7, but operators are guaranteed to be available between 7 am to 2 am PST. 

Trans Lifeline respects your gender identity. Whether you are male, female, non-binary, agender, queer, questioning, or anywhere in between, they will provide you with support without judgment.

Need help supporting a trans loved one? Trans Lifeline's Family & Friends Line provides peer support for friends, partners, family members and professionals supporting trans loved ones and community members. Trans Lifeline trusts trans people as the experts in their own lives, and resource trans people’s support networks to do the same.

To access this service, call the main hotline and ask for the Family & Friends Line. The operator will find out the best time to call you back and you will receive a call from a Family & Friends operator who has lived experience supporting trans people.
