Looking Glass Eating Disorder Services – Online Peer Support
About
Free, regularly scheduled, online peer support service for people wanting information and support with disordered eating, weight or body image issues.
The Looking Glass Foundation provides real time, online peer support service. It is an accessible, anonymous, and non-threatening alternative to conventional support groups, letting sufferers ease into a recovery community with greater comfort and at their own pace. The service is available to people of ages 14 and up, anywhere in Canada, who are experiencing disordered eating, weight, or body image issues.
Each free chat session offers a safe, virtual, and confidential space for people to talk about what is going on for them, to share experiences, and to benefit from the empathy and understanding of others.
Online peer support is intended to provide support, rather than therapy. Recovery-focused online conversations are non-judgmental and avoid sensitive subjects such as weight, diet, and specific eating disorder behaviours.
